“I’ve had two tween/teen daughters learning to play the piano with Inês. The eldest played to grade 5 and then stopped; the younger one only started playing last year and loves her lessons. Inês’ approach is positive and encouraging, enabling progress without putting pressure on her students. In fact, my eldest had learnt with another teacher before but was unhappy and demotivated. This changed entirely thanks to Inês’ approach. Both of my children took online lessons with Inês, and even though initially that was enforced through COVID lockdown, we now find it easy for all involved and I don’t think it negatively impacts the lessons at all. I would recommend Inês wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a piano teacher for their child. 5 stars out of 5.”

“Inês has taught both my children piano and music theory. They learnt with her up to ABRSM Grade 5 level, piano, and my son also took ABRSM Grade 5 theory. Inês has really encouraged the children to enjoy music, and musical style and interpretation have been integral to their lessons. Her own teaching style is one of encouragement with constructive and positive feedback, which has really kept them engaged and made the lessons extremely enjoyable, such that they have always looked forward to meeting her. Equally, Inês will focus on the technical aspects of the pieces, but may do this by introducing a wider repertoire to support them in their technical development. We have found the set up of online lessons, with both student and teacher keyboards visible, to be an extremely effective way of holding lessons, and does not detract from the learning experience.
